This book is dedicated to kids everywhere who've ever felt put down because of their clothes and/or lack of money. It helps portray that money isn't everything and it doesn't buy happiness, having caring friends does.

August 27th, a normal day to most people. For twins Xander and Liam it's the first day of 4th grade. They both got brand new backpacks, with Captain America for Xander and Ironman for Liam.

Both boys are bouncing of the walls ready to see their best friend James and show him their new superhero backpacks.

Their mom hurried them to the car and went to pick up James. Once they got to his house he was waiting and ran outside once he saw the familiar car. The twins jumped out and performed their handshake they came up with when they were in kindergarten.
Once they got back in and were all buckled up, they took off to school. The twins and James argued about whose backpack was better and James said his was because it had all the Avengers on it. The twins were sad but didn't show it.

When they got to school they all raced out of the car the twins saying thank you and ran to Ms. Smith's classroom. Everyone in class said hi to them and James started bragging about his new stuff. A new kid walked in Ms. Smith told everyone to welcome Charlie. He had old clothes and a bag with holes in it. James laughed at this, but the twins were confused and didn't say anything.

After playing the name game, reviewing math doing their times tables, and writing about what their summer adventures were, it was finally recess time.
The twins and James rushed outside and started playing kickball. After 15 minutes or so the game was done and they still had 15 minutes left of recess. James told the twins to follow him, they did right over to Charlie.

Xander and Liam were confused but excited thinking of having another best friend.
James didn't want to make friends. James started laughing at Charlie and he made fun of his clothes. The twins were confused but just stood to the side and watched not stopping the taunting James was doing towards Charlie and his raggedy clothes.
Recess ended then it was back to class and the twins kept thinking about how James made fun of Charlie. Soon came lunch, then afternoon recess and James kept bullying Charlie about his clothes. Xander and Liam asked James why he was doing this and he said it was fun. The twins left it alone for now and decided to ask their parents about it when they got home.
School ends and the twins mom picks them up and drops James off. Once they arrive at their house they go inside and their mom asks them to finish their homework before dinner. They finish right as dinners about to be done and their dad just got home from work.
