For all the species of animals out there who are victims of global warming and climate change.
~ Anita

Paul the Polar Bear is a polar bear who lives in Antarctica.
Everywhere is white and it is always cold there.
One day, Paul decided he wanted to go out for a swim.
He left early in the morning and swam for a very long time, going very, very far.
After a while, Paul began to feel tired. He stopped and wanted to rest.
Paul looked around. All he saw was the sea. It went on and on in every direction.
Then he saw Poppy the Penguin swimming next to him.
"Hello Poppy," he said. "Do you know where I can find the closest chunk of ice?"
"I'm sorry," Poppy replied. "All the ice has melted here. There is no more left."
"Why?" Paul exclaimed.
"Because it is becoming warmer and warmer each day," Poppy said. "Maybe you'll find more ice if you keep swimming."
"Okay. Thank you," Paul said.
So Paul kept swimming and looking for ice.
Then he saw Sammy the Seal. Sammy was resting on a very small chunk of ice that he barely fit on.
"Hello Sammy," Paul said. "Do you know where I can find another chunk of ice?"
"I'm sorry," Sammy replied sadly. "This was the last one I could find. I wish I could share with you, but it's too small. Maybe you'll find more ice if you keep swimming."
"Oh. Thank you," Paul said.
