One day I'm gonna be an archaeologist

We're all just like you,

with dreams as big as the sky is blue.

But sometimes things are just a little bit off,

sometimes things aren't as simple as 3, 2, 1 liftoff

You see our bodies are our allies,

they work real hard to fight the bad guys.

But sometimes they can get confused,

and end up fighting themselves too.

For Faith this means red, scaly rashes,

and hair falling out on her head and eyelashes.

For Chad it means limping around everywhere,

because the pain from walking is just too much to bear.

For Trevor it means being thirsty all the time,

and feeling squeamish like he just saw some slime.

For Beatrice it means her hands turn white with the cold, and her skin feels so tight it's like she's in a stranglehold.

When the kids all first started to ache and hurt,

their parents took them to the doctor on high alert.

The doctor decided they all needed some tests,

and not like the ones you take in math and English.

No these kinds of tests are given to your body,

to determine if it formed just a little bit oddly.

Faith, Chad, Trevor, and Beatrice too,

each had a different one that they needed to do.
