Alice in Copyrightland

Alice once again procrastinated on writing her essay for ELA and it is due tomorrow! She has not even started working on it yet and she has to write five pages. She has no idea how she is going to finish it.

Oh no, what am I going to do?

Then Alice comes up with a not so brilliant idea. She decides to find an article and copies all of the information onto her essay. "That was easy, " she thought to herself, "it only took me five minutes, ". But little does she know she just committed plagiarism. Plagiarism is the process of Using other people’s work and claiming it is your own work.

All of a sudden out of nowhere a paw comes out of Alice's computer screen, a rabbit's paw. The rabbit grabs hold of Alice's wrist and pulls her through the computer screen into a whole new other world.

"Where am I?"Alice yells.

"You are in Copyrightland, " the rabbit exclaims.

"Copyrightland what is that?".

"It is where all of the people who commit plagiarism or piracy go,".

"Why am I here I did not even do any of that?".

"But yes you did you just were not aware of it,".

"Don't worry you won't be stuck here forever, "the rabbit announced.

"what do you mean can't I just go back now?" Alice asked.

"I am afraid not, first we have to teach you about copyright and all of the important things that go into it, ".

"But why?".

"Because we have to make sure that you will never commit plagiarism again,".

"Let's have some tea,".

They walked, and walked, and walked until they reached this table where tea was waiting for them.
