Flexible: able to change or be changed easily according to the situation.
I’d like a job with more flexible hours.

Image: a picture in your mind.
Once upon a time i had an image of how would be the world in 20 years.

Interaction: An occasion when two or more people or things communicate with or react to each other.
Language games are usually intended to encourage student interaction.

Predictable: Happening or behaving in a way that you expect; not unusual or interesting.
The results were predictable.

Retain: to continue to have, use, remember etc ; to
keep in one’s
possession, memory
etc.
Many savants are
able to retain large
amounts of
information in their
memory.

Savants: A person with a high level of knowledge or skill, especially someone who is less able in other ways.
There are musical
savants who are
very awkward
physically - until they
sit at the piano.

Sum: a simple mathematical calculation, such as adding two numbers together.
Kids these days can’t do sums without a calculator.

Abandonment: the act of leaving someone or something or of ending or stopping something,
usually forever.

Defeated: To win against someone in a fight or competition.
I defeated one of my worst fears.

Dilapidated: Old and in poor condition.
The house of my friend was dilapidated.

Hopelessness: without hope.
They searched for survivors but it was hopelessness.

Meager: Not enough in amount.
They had to survive on a meager portion of rice.

Misery: sadness and suffering.
The World War II brought misery to millions of people.

Poverty: the state of being very poor.
Some persons in Guatemala live in poverty.

Shame: A bad feeling about something wrong that you have done
I was full of shame
in my presentation.

Sordid: Dirty and unpleasant.
There are lots of really sordid apartments in the city’s poorer areas.

Tormented: Great mental suffering and unhappiness, or great physical pain.
I had a tormented childhood.

Yearned For: To wish very strongly, especially for something that you cannot have or something that is very difficult to have.
They yearned for peace.

Advocate: someone who publicly supports something.

Aspects: One part of a situation, problem, or subject.
His illness affects every aspect of his life.

Consensus: A generally accepted opinion or decision among a group of people.
The general consensus in the office is that he can’t do his job.

Environment: The air, land, and water where people, animals, and plants live.
The new road may cause damage to the environment.

Impact: The effect that a person, event, or situation has on someone or something.
She has had a major impact on today’s reggaeton music.

Interaction: An occasion when two or more people or things communicate with or react to each other.

Interpreting: To decide what the intended meaning of something.
It’s difficult to interpret these statistics.

Linked: A connection between two people, things, or ideas.

Reliable: Able to be trusted or believed.
I took information in a website that is reliable.

Revolutionized: To completely change something so that it is much better.
Newton’s discoveries revolutionized physics.

Risk factor: The possibility of something bad happening.
He had a risk factor about his heart.

Achieve: To succeed in doing something difficult.
We finally achieved
our goal of buying a
house.
