Finding Out

  My Mom started feeling bad, but didn't think 

she could be pregnant. After taking a home 

pregnancy test, she found out she was. When 

my Dad got home that evening she told him 

the news. They were both very surprised. At 

the time she found out she was about 6 

weeks along, which means may heart had 

already began to beat.

Appetite

      My mother had no cravings. Surprisingly, 

her appetite decreased throughout the 

pregnancy. She had gestational diabetes and 

had to follow a diabetic diet. 

Activity

    My Mom says I was moderately active. My 

movements didn't cause her any discomfort or 

pain. I moved a lot when my Mom would take 

a bath.

Labor

   Her labor was induced none days early due 

to the diabetes. When she entered the 

hospital, she had dilated three centimeters and 

was fifty percent affaced. They broke her 

water, gave her an epidural, and gave her 

Petocin to start labor. She was in labor for four 

hours and 29 minutes. I was born at 11:50 

am.

Over All Experience

   She says her pregnancy was very easy 

although she was tires a lot. That could have 

have been due to already having two children 

at home. She only gained one pound 

throughout the whole nine months. My parents 

chose not to know my gender until I was born.

Siblings and Grandparents

   My brother and sister were the first ones in 

the delivery room after I was born. Then my 

grandparents, great aunt and uncle, and my 

aunt and uncle came in after.
