I dedicate this story to my aunt, dad, sierra, piper, uncle buck, and happy grandma.

Then smell of coffee drifted through the camper. As I tumbled out of my cocoon of blankets to see who was up. Then I remembered that was Labor Day. “It’s the day of the golf cart parade!” I blurted out with excitement.

I waddled out on the deck to find my grandma sipping her coffee in her swing. I sat beside her.

“Goodmorning hun” grandma said sweetly.
“Goodmorning grandma” I said to my grandma.
“guess what day it is?” I asked.
“yep’’ she exclaimed.

The day before dad took me to Dollar General, but all their decorations were sold out. We went to a yard sale to see if there was any there. There were!

We started to decorate the golf cart and then my aunt came back from the store with colored hairspray.

When we finished decorating, so we tried to use the hair spray.
The smell of chemicals filled the air.
“we're gonna be late!” my uncle screamed from the distance.
“we’re finishing up our hair up” I said back.
“Come on’’ he said.

On our way to the starting point everyone looked and pointed at our golf cart.
We passed a bunch of cool golf carts like a lizard, a fire truck, a school bus, and even a camper.

The judges came up and asked for our names.
They held up the trophy and said “you’’ as they pointed to us.
My cousins, piper and sierra, were ecstatic!
