Started Out on the Wrong Foot
Started Out on the Wrong Foot
What?: Achillies tendinitis is an overuse injury of the achilles tendon, the band of tissue that connects calf muscles at the back of the lower leg to your heel bone.

This happened when I was at a volleyball tournament about 2 years ago and I was going up to block a ball and I came down and stretched/tore my achilles tendon but continued playing for the rest of the tournament I went to the doctor after we got back from the volleyball tournament because it continued to bother me and the doctor said that I have Achilles Tendinitis.
Cause: Achilles tendonitis and tendonosis are usually caused by a sudden increase of a repetitive activity involving the Achilles tendon. Such activity puts too much stress on the tendon too quickly, leading to micro-injury of the tendon fibers.

Treatment:
R- Rest
I- Ice
C- Compression
E- Elevation
Other treatments include reducing your physical activity, very gently stretching and later strengthening your calf muscles, or wear a brace or walking boot to prevent heel movement.

Fun Fact:
The tendon is named after Achilles, a hero of ancient Greek mythology.

Fun Fact:
Majority of patella dislocations occur in females, especially targeting female girls.
What?: A knee dislocation is a knee injury in which there is a complete disruption of the joint between the tibia and the femur.
I "Kneed" a Doctor
Cause: Knee dislocations are often the result of a high-impact injury such as an automobile crash, severe fall, and sports injuries.
Treatment:
Your doctor might try gentle maneuvers to help your bones back into position. But in most cases you will end up having to have surgery in order to put your bones back in the right spot. After your bones are back in position, your doctor might immobilize your joint with a splint or sling for several weeks.
Hip Hip Hip Replacement
Hip Hip Hip Replacement
What?; A hip labral tear is damage to the cartilage that surrounds the bony edge of the socket in the pelvis. A hip labral tear involves the ring of cartilage (labrum) that follows the outside rim of the socket of your hip joint. In addition to cushioning the hip joint, the labrum acts like a rubber seal or gasket to help hold the ball at the top of your thighbone securely within your hip socket.
Cause: Labral injuries can be the result of trauma, such as a fall or a car accident, but are most commonly caused by repetitive trauma to the hip joint.

Hip Hip Hip Replacement
Fun Fact:
A clicking or locking sound in the hip area occurs when you have a hip labral tear.

Treatment: Anti-inflammatory medications: Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen (Motrin®, Advil®) can reduce inflammation. Medication injection: Doctors can inject medications, such as steroids, into the hip joint to ease symptoms.
