We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our first year in STEAM, especially Doc and all of our STEAM teachers. Not only have we had wonderful experiences but, we've also made some long lasting friendships.

Hi, I am a vex robot built by Belfry High School's JROTC class. Starting this year, I am going to be a project for Doc's Freshmen STEAM class. This is the first time since May that I've heard the busy hallways. Doc later introduced me to three girls , which are going to be my companions this year. Doc told the students , "We will be getting comfortable in here for the first week. Make sure you understand the purpose of this class." I can't wait to begin!

Since we have been working in the lab , we have had issues with coding. They have been told to use VEX Coding Studio.
When they began using this , they weren't able to successfully download the coding to me. The downloading process is actually simple. All they have to do is use a Micro-USB to plug into the computer and my cortex and press download. Each time they do this process , the computer says , "no brain connected." If they aren't able to code me , I will have no purpose.

I am sorry that I haven't wrote in a while. We have been very busy. After all the issues with VEX Coding Studio , we were informed that we need to use RobotC. Since we have started using the new studio , coding has been much easier. My group and I aren't nearly as stressed as we were because we now know what we are doing. Lucky for us , RobotC has a website with preset coding, which cuts the coding time in half. Last week , Doc told us the controller was our number one priority. This information made us contact VEX customer service for help because we didn't know what to do.They told us to update our firmware. We updated it, but nothing changed. I still haven't connected to the controller , and it frustrates me. I just want to be successful.
