Boston is the capital of Massachusetts. It is a beautiful city on the Atlantic Ocean. There are many places to visit like Faneuil Hall which is in the picture to the left.

This is a re-creation of an original Boston Tea Part Ship. This ship is called the Beaver, and it is at the Boston Tea Party Museum.

The Boston Tea Party

In December 1773, three British tea ships were in Boston Harbor. The captain wanted to unload the tea. If the tea left the ship, the colonists would have to pay TAXES. The colonists had a town meeting at the Old South Meetinghouse to decide what to do with the tea on the Britsh ships.

Paul Revere

Paul Revere was a colonist who lived and worked in Boston his whole life. His home and his statue are in the North End part of Boston. Paul Revere is best known for two activites:

*Silversmithing

*Warning the colonists that the Regulars (what British soldiers were really called) were coming to take away their weapons and ammunition.
