Anaconda plan

Before the anaconda plan, there was the battle of Fort Sumpter the Major was Robert Anderson and the battle took place Near South Carolina and it was on 4/12/1861 - 4/13/1861 Fort Sumpter was The place where the first shots were shot in the Civil War. The reason fort Sumpter started was that Abram Lincoln sent unarmed ships to resupply and the south decided to shot at those ships witch started not only the attack on Fort Sumpter but also the Civil War.

Anaconda Plan

After the Attack On Fort Sumpter was the creation of the Anaconda Plan which was created by Windfield Scott. The Anaconda Plan was A military proposed by general Winfield Scott early in the civil war. The reason the Anaconda plan started was To defeat the rebellion by blocking southern ports and controlling the Mississippi River. It was created in 1861

Battle of Vickings Burg

Then after the Anaconda plane was created the Battle of Viking's burg started it was lead by Ulysses S. Grant and John C. Pemberton. The Battle of Vicksburg was the culmination of a long land and naval campaign by Union forces to capture a key strategic position during the American Civil War. The Battle of Viking's burg took place in Mississippi and it was on May 18  and it lasted until July 4, 1863, The reason it started was Union charge of the Confederate defenses. After a second unsuccessful charge, General Ulysses S. Grant dug in for a siege of the city and pressured Vicksburg and the trapped Confederate army under John C. Pemberton to surrender.
