John and Deshawn were the best of friends. They'd eat lunch together, play with each other, and sit next to one another in class

At lunch that day the boys sat in their usual spots and ate their favorite meal; a sandwich with ham, tomatoes, and cheese

After lunch the boys hurried to be the first in line for recess as they impatiently waited for the bell to ring

When the bell finally rang the two raced out to grab a ball before the other kids but decided to play somewhere different than their normal play area

When they finally decided on a spot they noticed that there was a certain kid with glasses and freckles that was all alone and had no one to play with

Both John and Deshawn agreed that the boy must be sad and decided to ask him to play the next time they saw him

So the next day the two invited the kid with the glasses to join them for recess. He agreed and introduced himself as Marco.

From that day on the three were always together. They ate lunch together, played together, and always sat next to each other in class
