Polly was a peacock. She had just moved into a new house. It had been owned by her great grandfather. Then her grandparents moved in, then after them, her parents moved in. Now she owned the house. Other animals said that the house held great secrets.

There was one thing that was different about Polly's house though. It was believed that the map to a treasure was hidden in a room in the attic of Polly's house. No one in Polly's family had ever found the map or the treasure though.

One night while Polly was in bed, she heard a noise coming from the attic upstairs. She thought that it was just the wind. But when she heard it a second time, she knew that she had to go and check it out, to see what it was.

As she went up the stairs, the noise started to get softer. Who ever was making the noise, must have known that Polly was coming. She wanted to know where the noise was coming from, so she kept going up the stairs. When she walked into the attic, she saw a dragon.
