How to play “yağ satarım bal satarım”?

It is one of the traditional children's games

Age: Suitable for children 5 years and older.

How Many Children : 6 to 20 children are suitable to play with.

Do You Need Material to Play ?: One handkerchief is needed while playing.

How to play:

Rules of the game: All children are ranked sits in a circle. The player “it” is chosen among the children. The player takes the handkerchief and starts to turn around his/her friends.Sitting students say that song:

Yağ satarım, bal satarım

Ustam ölmüş ben satarım

Ustamın kürkü sarıdır

Satsam on beş liradır

Zambak, zumbak dön arkana iyi bak

When this rhyme finishes, the child with the handkerchief  leaves it behind the back of a child. The child who discovers the handkerchief tries to catch the other. In the meantime, the other children goes on singing the song. The player will be the other child if the player can sit on  the other child's place. If  caught the game continues with the same player.

What does the child gain: Improves the child's attention and the ability to act quickly. It is a very effective game in terms of physical development.

The rules of ,,King, Kings” game

1. First of all players form two teams.

2. After which each team forms a chain or a line, holding hands.

3. Than one of the teams, shout ,,King, King, give us a soldier”, the other team responds ,,Who”.

4. After that, the other team chooses a player.

5. Than the chosen player runs to the other team to separate it.

6. If he separates it he chooses in his team, if he does not   stay in that team.

How to play 'DODGEBALL'

Place of Game

It can be played in an open area or closed area. Playing place should be flat.

 Field measurements: Game field should be 9mx18 m dimensions and rectangle. There is a middle line which divides the field two.

Teams

Teams can be boys –girl .There are 12 players in each team. There are 8 players and 4 backup players. One of player is leading players. Leading player can ask break and changing players. For this game, you need a volleyball ball.

For this game, you need a volleyball ball.

Game is played in 3 set. There is no time limitation for this game.

Playing The Game

Leading players in each team choose players by saying a rhyme like “Aldım verdim, ben seni yendim, alamazsın veremezsin sen beni yenemezsin ‘’.The player whose foot is on the other’s player’s foot  have a right to choose the first players. There is three set in this game and the team who win two set is the winner of the game.

Players should be in their field and they cannot pass or step this line. If they pass or step it they must leave the game. The objective of this game is to eliminate all players of the opposing team by throwing the ball and hitting the opposing players.

'Plickers'

Plickers is a free, interactive tech tool that uses printable “paper clickers” .Firstly, you must add your students' name on the website . Plickers gives each student an unique card. This card has got four choice. You must print out this cards.

Second, you must creat your question.Finally,you must download plickers app. on your smartphone.Your questions are ready to play

You must have a smart board or computer connected to the internet.Then, select the live view tab on the website to display the question and answer choices for the students

When students are holding up their plickers to answer a question, you will need to take your smart device, choose the plickers app, select the question you wish to use and scan the room by selecting the camera button which will appear at the bottom of the screen

When you scan all students, you can see students's anwers.At the end a bar graph will appear so you can view the whole group data as well

How to play

Firstly ‘it’ is chosen, other players wait ‘it’ at the line which is settled before. While ‘it’ turns to wall with his/her eyes closed and says ‘Davul-zurna 1,2,3 ‘ , players try to close him/her.

When ‘it’ opens his/her eyes and turn back , players mustn’t move and be motionless. Player who moves leaves the game. ‘It’ turns his back again and players close to him/her. .Player who closes ‘İt’ most touch ‘İt’ while he/she is facing back. ‘It’ gives up counting and tries to catch players in the line which is settled before. The player who is caught is ‘it’.

If it cannot catch a player ,he/she is 'it' again.

Materials: one ball, nine cubes

People: At least twelve people

Age: 10+

This game is played with two teams. The teams must be consist of at least six people. One ball and nine cubes are required for this game. The team leaders chosen and they choose players for the teams.

The cubes are aligned one on the top of the other. The players of the first team try to topple the cubes. If the cubes are toppled, the players of the first team run around the playground and they try to align the cubes again. The players of the second team try to shoot the others with ball.

If the cubes are aligned one on the top of the other before all the players of the first team are shot, the first team win the game. If all the players of the first team are shot before the other players align the cubes, the second team win the game.
