Our Silly Solar System

The beautiful sun is the center of our solar system. It keeps all of the planets in orbit so they don't fly off into space.

The amazing fiery hot sun is also a star but is a lot bigger than the rest. The mass of the sun is 330,000 times bigger than earth.

Mercury Molly is the closest to the sun. Mercury is the smallest planet ... but a lot bigger that an elephant.

Venus Valery is the 2nd planet from the sun. Venus gets less sunlight than earth even though it is closer to the sun. Venus is bigger than Earth.

Earth Ericson is the planet that we live on! It keeps us safe from the outer space and the creatures that may be out there. It is the 3rd planet from the sun. It is also the only planet things can live on.

Mars Max is the 4th planet from the sun. It is the 2nd smallest planet in our solar system. Mars has 2 moons.

The asteroid belt is in between Mars and Jupiter. The asteroid belt is made of mainly rock and stone. Small parts of rock might have iron or nickle in them!

Jupiter Jake is the 5th planet from the sun. Jupiter is 1/1000 the size of the sun but 2 1/2 times bigger than all the other planets combined.
