The Watergate scandal: On June 17, 1972, Burgalars were caught stealing documents and they had ties with Richard Nixon, later making Nixon resign as president.

Ford and Carter's presidency
Hostage Crisis: On November 4, 1979, a small group of Iranian students who went to the U.S. embassy and took more than 60 hostages, was the first Islamic extremist problem in the United States.

Gas Crisis: On October 19, 1973 an OPEC embargo decided with all 12 members to stop shipping oil to the United States resulting in insane prices. Later was resolved in March 1974.
Reagan's Presidency
Military Spending: Reaganomics did tax cuts and increased military spending, he got the money from the federal government.
Relationship with the soviets: Worsened when Reagan came to power, they realized they can't compete with the US in the arms race so the Soviet Union just diminishes.
Berlin wall speech and year the wall comes down: Reagan's speech took place on June 12, 1987, this famous speech convinced Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the wall and it was torn down in November of 1991.
The Significant George W. Bush
Fact #1: Helped get revenge on Bin Laden after what he did to the world trade center.
Fact #2: His "No child Left Behind Act" offers local authorities greater flexibility in spending federal dollars, but requires standardized math and reading tests.
