In a galaxy far far away...

There was a planet called Earth.

Here, human and the animal kingdom get along fine... but it wasn't always that way.

Animals were brought to extinction by the forces of nature and the humans.

The main reason animals are brought to extinction, are by humans. Humans hunted animals for their meat, but mostly for ivory, or hide. This practice is called poaching.

Sometimes animals are brought to extinction from air pollutants, oil spills, and even our garbage!

As humans evolved, we started developing more effective weapons. The bow became the gun, and the spear became the sword.

Humans aren't always the cause though...

Natural causes like the meteorite that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs can also cause extinction.
