Once upon a time, there was an ancient place called Rome. They were living with kings and queens and fairy-tales. Eventually, a terrible person named Lucious Superbus became king. His son did something horrible and then Lucious was killed.

Once Lucious Superbus was killed, people decided they didn't want their land to be ruled by kings, so they started a time where Rome was ruled by the people. This was called the Republic.

We want to rule ourselves!
No more kings!
Then, a child was born. His name was Caesar. He was born in 100 B.C.

Caesar married a woman named Cornelia, who died at an early age. He then remarried to a woman named Calpurnia. Once Caesar married Calpurnia, he decided to go to Greece, when he was only 33. When Caesar saw Alexander the Great's Statue, he thought "I better get a move on with my life!" So that's exactly what he did.

He had a huge army when he died! I have nothing and I'm his age now!
Caeser was a great man, and he eventually became the Queastor, then the Aedile, then Ponifix Maximus, and finally the Praestor. He then met Pompey and Crassus. All three of them wanted something, and they thought that together they could all get what they wanted. So they got Caesar up to the role of Consul. He worked with Bibulus, but none of the three showed any respect towards Bibulus.
