"Down, Marcus! Bad dog! DOWN!"

Jackson the hedgehog said, carrying the biggest rope you've ever seen!

Jackson worked at the D.R.E.A.M.S. Kingdom.

But today, Jackson got a new pet!

"What did you get?" His cousin Barnaby said.

"A dog from the island of Iraffega!" replied Jackson.

"What type is he?" Barnaby asked.

Barnaby wished he didn't ask!

Marcus was the BIGGEST, UGLIEST dog you've ever seen!

He shouted "WOOF! WOOF!" wherever he went!

"Yoix!" Shrieked Barnaby.

"Are you sure he isn't a nightmare? "

"Would I buy a nightmare and claim it as a dog?"

Jackson asked! "No! No! No! Marcus is going to be-BAD DOG MARCUS! YOU DON'T CHEW ON THAT!-a war dog!"

Jackson's job was a warrior for the D.R.E.A.M.S. Kingdom!

They were at war with The Nightmares!

But when Jackson brought Marcus in, King Iker (a king who never screamed), shrieked his head off! "Jackson! That thing is creepy!"

But Jackson explained his idea to the king,

The king said  "Ok, we'll train him the best we can to prove that he's a good dog and

can be a good soldier too!

They tried to train him to sniff out explosives by having him track down a box of perfumes.

But instead of finding it, He decided to track another smell instead and bit the colonel!

Jackson slapped himself in shock!

They tried to teach him to lead the army, but he picked them up and took them with him in his claws.

Jackson slapped himself in shock.

Finally, they tried to train him to listen for an army a mile away by making people shout into speakers so he can hear them!

But....

he thought it was a game, and howled into a speaker of his own!

The dam almost burst!

Jackson slapped himself in shock!

In the green fort, that night, Jackson was in trouble.

"Marcus!" He said. "You're a bad dog. I want you to help us with the war! But you are so bad at training, I am now in trouble!"

Marcus whimpered.

"I have to chain you outside for the night!" Jackson sighed.

When Marcus was chained, he suddenly growled and barked!

"What was that for?" King Iker asked.

Jackson shrugged. "There is no one here! Marcus! You bad dog! Stop barking!"

Marcus whimpered but stilled growled.
