The Lego Masters

One day long ago in the fall of 1999 Jack and Abigail went on a field trip to a museum. The museum was called The Lincoln Museum. On their field trip they were going to see fossils, tombs and ancient gold from Rome and Egypt.

They were so excited to go on the field trip, but when they saw the museum they were nervous because it was so big. “Jack! This is a big museum. We need to stick together so we don’t get lost!” Abigail said. “Okay, let’s stick together then,” Jack said.

During the field trip, the teacher Mrs. Pumpkin told the class not to run away and stay with her. But Jack and Abigail wanted to go see fossils when the class was looking at a picture of Giza. “Abigail” Jack whispered, “when the teacher is not looking let’s go sneak to the fossils.” “Okay, let’s go get in the back of the line to go look at fossils” said Abigail. So, when Mrs. Pumpkin wasn’t looking Jack and Abigail snuck away to see the fossils. Dun dun dun!!!!

As they went to see the fossils, the teacher noticed that they were gone. The teacher yelled, “Where is Jack and Abigail?” The class went looking for them and found them trying to sneak back in line. Mrs. Pumpkin was not happy! She said, “We are going to talk to the principal when we get back to school!” Jack and Abigail were very scared and went to the back of the line to wait to get on the school bus. When the class was leaving, Abigail stepped on a trap door and then Jack stepped on a trap door! “Aghh!!!!!” they screamed!

They landed in the same place and they were surrounded by dinosaur fossils, swords, and armor from knights! Abigail screamed,“Oh no! We are trapped in the basement! How are we going to get out!” "Look! "Let’s climb up the dinosaur’s tail," said Jack.

"That’s a great idea!" said Abigail. As they reached the top, Abigail lifted up the trap door, but it hit her and she lost balance falling off. Abigail screamed “Help Me!” “Are you okay?" asked Jack. “Yes I think I’m okay, I landed on fake grass but my arm and leg is hurting," said Abigail. “Well let’s get out of here,” said Jack.

So Jack and Abigail found a secret exit door that led to stairs. They followed the stairs and it took them outside the museum. Suddenly, they saw their bus pulling out of the parking lot. Jack ran to the side of the bus and banged on the window. Mrs. Pumpkin had the bus driver slam on the brakes! She was so happy to see them but mad because they ran off. Jack told Mrs. Pumpkin what happened and they took Abigail to the hospital to get x-rayed. It was one crazy field trip!!!

The End.

The Force of Legos
It was the last day of school. Louis took the long way home. He liked to skateboard home from school. His friends told him to stop by an abandoned house and see what was in it. Louis was nervous but he didn’t want to get kicked out of his friend group. When he arrived at the house, he heard a dog barking. Louis thought there couldn’t be a dog in an abandoned house, but he kept hearing it bark. So he decided to go in and see for himself.

Louis went in to explore the house and there was the dog. Louis went over to pet the dog and said, “I think I’m going to call you Jasmine. Do you want to go home with me?” Jasmine started barking and jumping. Louis said, “I’ll take that as a yes!” When Louis and Jasmine got home, he asked his mom if he could keep her. His mom said, “Where did you get her from?” “Oh, I found her walking down the road a few blocks away. She followed me,” Louis said. He knew that if he told his mom the truth, she would be upset that he went into the abandoned house.

All of a sudden, thunder started to rumble and there were three knocks on the door. “Knock! Knock! Knock!” Suddenly, the door swung open and a pale old man appeared in the doorway. “Give me my dog!!" he said again and again loudly. Louis said, “It’s not your dog! I found her!” Louis’ mom Rosie stepped into the conversation and yelled, “Get out my house!" The old man replied, “Give me my dog back and I will tell you where your husband is!” Rosie gasped in surprise and fainted. Aunt Lilly appeared in the kitchen just in time to catch Rosie before she fell.

While Lilly was taking care of Rosie, Jasmine started barking and ran out the door! The old man said, “Come back Lucy and let’s go home!” Instead, Jasmine ran under his feet and towards the abandoned house. Louis yelled, “Come on! I bet Jasmine is leading us to dad! I wonder what he is doing there!” The old man screamed, “Her name is not Jasmine! It’s Lucy!! Please! Get it Right!!”
When they arrived at the abandoned house, they saw two strangers battling Louis’ dad on the roof. They couldn’t believe their eyes! Why would anyone want to battle their dad?

Louis asked, “Where did they get the swords?” The old man said “In the back of the house! Can I have my dog back now?” Louis thought for a minute, “After we help my dad battle these bad guys I will buy you a new dog. Please let us keep Jasmine!” The old man looked at Jasmine and said, “She looks like she is happy with you. Yes, I will take that offer. Now let’s help save your dad!”
Louis and the old man climbed up to the roof. As they went to help Louis’ dad, the strangers snapped their fingers and smoke appeared! Poof! They were gone!! Louis’ dad was so happy to see him. His dad said, “You have grown so much!”
A week later, they bought the old man a new dog named Lucy Jr. Louis never found out why the strangers wanted to battle his dad.
The End?
To be continued.

Legion of Legos
Trapped in the Museum!
Written by: Saxon, Dakota, Ethan, and Ella
One day in New York, Jade and Kate went on a field trip to The Ancient Museum of Artifacts.

While the class was looking at the last exhibit, Jade and Kate noticed that their teacher hadn’t taken them to the dinosaur exhibit. Jade said, “Let’s go real quick and see the dinosaur exhibit before Ms. Lawson notices us.” Kate said, “Sure let’s go.” They didn’t realize how long they were looking at the T-Rex and when they looked up they didn’t see their class anywhere. They looked around and all of a sudden the lights turned off and they heard the door slam and lock. They were trapped in the museum!!!

Jade yelled, “Awesome! We are locked in” Kate cried, “No!!!! It’s creepy in here at night!” Jade said,”Well, now we get to look at things in the dark!” Kate hit Jade in the arm and yelled, “Jade!” Jade whispered, “Let’s go back to the dinosaur exhibit and look around. I wonder if anything magical will happen tonight?”
While they were exploring, they began to hear noises around 3 am. They heard animals screaming and loud stomps. They couldn’t believe what was happening. The dinosaurs, knights, and monsters were coming alive!! They started screaming and began to run down the hallway. They heard a dinosaur roar and they felt like they were being watched. “I’m scared,” whispered Kate. Jade said bravely, "We’ll get out of here, don’t worry. We just need to find what is bringing them to life.”
