Emil is my 5 year old son. Emil is very intelligent, fun and has a very lovable personality.

He Likes to play, interact with other kids and loves attending school. As time passed and Emil grew older his father and I noticed something was not right began worry.

One day on a routine doctor's appointment the doctor asks if there was any concern regarding Emil growth and development. Even thought I had my worry, I thought it was normal for his age.

As his father and I spoke more profoundly with Dr. Marte, who is Emil pediatrician since his birth. Its when she find that we have not been able to understand and communicate well with Emil because he needs assistance with the development of his language.

At the age of four is where we find that Emil has speech difficulties. At this age, four appropriate cognitive developmental milestones are their thinking skills, developing their oral language skills, develop a sense of self-confidence, and begins to reason and argue.

Therefore, due to his limited and confused vocabulary young Emil begin to distance himself from other children and even family because he got very sad and frustrated that we were not able to understand him clearly and had to force himself to repeatedly, try to re-explain himself.

Taking into account the Dr. Marte's referral and our lovable son best interest. as a family we went through the appropriate process and our boy Emil started to receive the Early intervention and services he needed.

Shortly after Emil starting his speech therapy we started to see a change in his language, vocabulary, clarity and fluency while speaking. Emil attended this service once a week for an hour in a group of three.
