This is the story of two siblings named Alan and David, who were very poor. They lived in a small hut with their small family near River Lochs in Scotland. They were very friendly with everyone too. They loved enjoying the thrilling and hard adventures. One day, while they were playing at the bank of the River Lochs and suddenly there was an announcement going on. An official person of the city was traveling in a horse cart with his men and was announcing something strange, “Listen! Listen! Everyone! We are announcing something new for you all. Especially this is for those who love thrilling adventures a lot.” By listening those words there was a huge crowd standing round the official man and his rest of the men. Seeing this situation Alan and David too rushed towards the crowd. Then after the while the official man said, “There is a quite hard and thrilling challenge for you all. 

The challenge is that we are helding as a competition in which there you will be in partners of two and you have to climb at the peak of the mountain which is situated just opposite of the River Loch. If you want to take part in this competition so submit your and your partner’s name till tomorrow at Culloden Battlefield’s gate.” After saying that the official man and his men went away. Everyone present there discussed in a strange way. Alan and David seemed to be very excited. “ Yeah! What a pleasant day.” cried Alan in an excitement? David replied, “You’re right. We’ll take part too.” “But how?” questioned Alan. “Of-course, we’ll discuss with our family” said David. “But how? They’ll never allow us.” said Alan. David said,”Ohooo! This is not to hard my dear sister.” Alan questioned, “What do you mean?” “Listen! Tomorrow is your 13th birthday and now you’ll become a ‘teenager’” told David.

Alan said, “Yes! So?” “So you will obviously ask for your birthday gift.Alan said, “Yes! So?” “So you will obviously ask for your birthday gift.So in return ask the permission for this competition.” Answered David,” Isn’t it easy?” Then Alan hugged her brother in a joy and the happy tears began dripping from Alan’s small, beautiful eyes. Then they turned their steps to homewards.

That announcement began in every corner of the city. It was night when Alan and David were sent to their beds. Alan was so excited for tomorrow. That how the Sun rises and then she will ask for her birthday gift from her parents, and when she looked and tried to talk to David so she made a bad face. As David was fast asleep. Early in the morning the birds were chirping and Alan woke-up. She washed her face and got ready. She woke-up David too and he also got ready.

Then they both again went at the bank of the River Lochs. Alan was as excited as she was out of her mind and was talking madly with David.After a while their parents woke up and her both parents wished her, “Happy Birthday Alan!” “Thanks Mom and Dad” answered Alan. “Now what do you want for your birthday gift?” questioned her Mom. Alan and David looked at each other’s faces. Than Alan asked,” Permission for the Mountain peak competition!” Her Dad started objection, “But how Alan? You and David are too under ager for that competition. And this is very risky. And they’ll never allow under agers to take part in this competition.” “But Dad they announced that this challenge is for those loves thrilling adventures a lot. And they didn’t announced that any underage could’t take part in this competition. Please Dad! Pretty please. Mom please ask Dad to allow us.. Please” convinced Alan. Mom to replied, “But Alan! Your Dad is right.

This competition is too risky and dangerous. You’re too small for it.” “I just wished for my birthday gift.” Said Alan in an anger, and she went angrily towards her home. David went after Alan and he tried to calm down her. Their parents looked at each other’s faces. Then their parents called David and allowed them to go for this competition. By listening this wonderful news Alan and David became very happy and glad and till evening they went to Culloden Battlefield’s gate to submit their names. When they reached there so there they saw a long queue standing in front of the Culloden Battlefield’s gate. They seemed to be very excited. They also waited a lot, and they got fed up.“I came here in an excitement. But all at once I became bore because of this long queue.” Cried Alan, “If we would be late so maybe the submission process will be finished and we wouldn’t be able to take part in this competition.”

“Ohooo! Why are you worried? Just half an hour more and then we would be able to submit our names” said David. ".” HALF AN HOUR! Are you crazy? Are you out of your mind?” yelled Alan, “I think it’s better that we should break the queue to submit our names quickly.” David said,” Have you been mad? Can’t you wait some more?” “Yes I can’t wait for even a second! But if you can wait SOME MORE so take our names and wait until your turns comes” said Alan, and then she gave the names to David’s hand and went back home in frustration. And just after ten minutes David submitted their names and he went back home in an excitement. When he came back home so he saw Alan sitting in a corner and was really angry.

Alan saw David and she started shouting,” Have you waited SOME MORE? Has your turn come after HALF AN HOUR?” “No! My turn came just after ten minutes.” told David.

Alan said, “Ha! You’re just bluffering! Liyer!” “Ok! Well tomorrow get ready for the competition but first we have to reach the Culloden Battlefield.” Told David and he went to his parents to tell the situation.

And at night they started packing the needs for the competition. And afterwards they went to their beds in excitement for the next day. And then early in the morning Alan’s mother came to her and said,” Dear Alan! My love! Do you really want to go for this competition my child?” “Yes mom! I really want to go for it” said Alan holding her hands gently,” This is really important mom! It is for mine and my Brother David’s future mom.” Her mom asked, “ Future? What are you talking about my dear?” Alan was going to answer her mom but David called her, “Alan! Alan! Come on. We have to reach there.” “Ok! I’m comingMom I’ll tell you later. And just you both pray for us please!”

said Alan and she goodbye her parents and reached the Culloden Battlefield. There they got ready.“Are you ready?” asked David. “ Yeah!” Alan said. There was an announcement once more, “ Listen! All the participants are here now. And after 10 minute you all would sail in the boats and will reach across the River Lochs.” Everyone agreed. “ Hey David! I don’t think that we would be able to cross the river.” Said Alan. Then David replied, “ I don’t know why you always think negative?” “Negative? What do you mean? I’m saying right. It is because; we don’t know how to sail in the boat in the river. Isn’t it right?” cried Alan. “ Ohooo! Alan I don’t think that you’re well. You’re mentally sick” David said, “ You don’t know that a security man will go with us too.” Alan made a face and went somewhere else.
