My name is Hansel. I'm an average boy with an average sister, who has an average pet turtle who enjoys biting peoples toes.

I got in a big pickle the other day. Here is the story. It was the first day of the school holidays and I needed some more candy to last me the following two weeks.

"Hansel, Gretel, your father and I are going away for a couple of days. We trust you to stay here alone," shouted my mother.
"Yass their leaving!" I whispered under my breath.

As soon as I heard the front door close and the garage door open, I snuck into my parents room. I knew where they hid their piggy bank but they didn't know that. I lifted up the carpet and opened up a small hatch.

'Goodness me, this place is full of cobwebs and spiders,' I thought to myself. Reaching my hand in, I took the piggy bank out and noticed how heavy it was, how much candy it would be worth.

Emptying the cold hard cash
into my bag I made a run for the
bus stop. With my fingers
crossed I hoped my sister wouldn't
notice I had gone.
The mall was crowded. I couldn't see a single candy shop in sight. I walked up and down the mall until I saw it. 'Witches Delite, the best candy in town'. Smelling of roses and licorice - this was practically candy heaven. Sitting behind the counter was a witch. 'Hold up, a real life witch, aren't they only in like fairy tales and movies and stuff?' I thought.

"Hello sonny, are you here to buy some of my well known, very famous, extra fabtabulous candy?" asked the witch.
"Why indeed I think I am. Ah, it smells so nice in here. How do you make such utterly amazing smelling candy?" I replied.
"Just a twist of my fingers and boom it is made!" she said eyeing the preposterous amount of money I had. "Would you like some testers of my candy?"
I nodded and the witch went
out the back to the store room. The
moment she came out she was carrying
trays and trays of candy.

There were red ones, blue
ones, even yellow ones. All shapes
and sizes - squares, hearts, twirls,
and even dinosaurs. 'How on earth
does she have enough time to make this extraordinary amount of candy?' I decided to try them all.
I was instantly disappointed. The red ones reminded me of worms, the orange ones were disgustingly disgusting, and the black ones that I thought were licorice tasted like wriggly, jiggly snakes.
