Today is Furbella Monster's birthday. She is turning 7.

All of the monsters are excited. They love parties, especially birthday parties!

happy birthday. It is a lot of fun!

They can eat gooey pudding cake,

When they arrive, the monsters sing, "Happy Birthday, Furbella!"

She can't hear the monsters singing, "Happy Birthday, dear Furbella. Happy Birthday to you!"

But Furbella Monster is very sad.

"Oh no!" Annie Monster says. "Furbella is sad. She can't hear us!"

"Let's surprise her!" Sammy Monster says. "If Furbella can't hear us, we can sign Happy Birthday to her."

They learn how to sign the birthday song so they can sing it to Furbella Monster.

All the monsters think this is a great idea!

The monsters hid.

"We have a surprise for you, Furbella," her mother signs.
