It all started when alaina was a baby

Alaina's eyes were always watering, and very sensitive towards light.

Alaina's parents knew something was wrong. so they took her to the doctor

The doctor could not figure out what was wrong with alaina, so he sent her home.

Nothing changed after a few weeks so alaina's parents took her to an eye doctor

the eye doctor knew exactly what to check for....

The eyes doctor told alaina's parents about a disease called glaucoma

Alaina's parents were shocked and confused on what exactly glaucoma was

The doctor explained to alaina's parents that glaucoma is something that baby's can get when they are first born.

the doctor went on to explain that, glaucoma effects the eyes. it basically means that an optic nerves is deteriorating

Alaina's parents asked the doctor it there was any way to stop it and prevent more damage

the doctor explained to her parents that glaucoma can not be cured but there are treatments to help slow it down

The doctor told alaina's parents that since she is so young there were limited options, but as she got older they could expand the treatments

while alaina was still at a young age there was not much they could do so they put medical eye drops in her eyes every day
