Carly and Lauren.

Carly and Lauren

Although they grew up in different cities, with different families, and different friends ...

Lauren
Carly

They both had one BIG thing
in common ...
They LOVED sports!

When Carly was little, she would not walk anywhere. She would RUN!
At recess, she would run around the field. After school she would run home. She even ran in the hallways ... which sometimes got her in trouble!

Growing up, Lauren loved to ride horses. She loved it so much that she spent hours at the barn every week. She even did her homework in the hayloft!
As the girls grew older, they started entering competitions.

Before and during these competitions, both Carly and Lauren leaned on their trainers, family, and friends for support and guidance.

Carly needed help learning how to calm down her nerves, and how to "sit and kick" in big races, so that she could blow past the competition at the finish line.
Lauren needed to continue to improve skills in many areas, including mental focus, physical strength, and balance.
Along the way she had a few tumbles. Ouch!
That's rough!
Over time, and with lots of practice, both Carly and Lauren become literate in their respected sports.

Carly was motivated to become the best middle distance runner she could be because she liked to beat her twin sister in races and she wanted to get a scholarship to run in the NCAA.
