Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lucy.

Lucy lived with her mom, Lynn, and her dad, Kalvin.

For her entire life, Lucy had dreamed of having one thing: a puppy. She had begged and begged her parents, but they were relentless. They would always say, "Lucy, you're too young to take care of a puppy. Maybe when you're older."

One day, while Luci and her mom were out on a walk, they experienced something very unexpected.

They were just walking along when they heard a dog's bark and feet running toward them. Hurrying to see what the commotion was, they follow the dog and see a man on the ground, hurt.

"Help!" they heard the man say. "A snake bit me!" Lynn and Lucy rushed over to the man's side. "Call 911." Lynn said, handing Lucy her phone and bending down to check the man's vitals.

Paramedics soon arrived and picked up the man to take him to the hospital. He needed treatment as soon as possible.
