Once upon a time there was a turtle who lived in a swamp. He loved to sing.

"I wish I had some friends who would listen to me sing. I can't find anyone to listen to my turtle song. I am completely alone."

"Do you hear something?" said the yellow fish.

"I think I hear something tasty to eat!" said alligator.

Alligator was too busy swimming around looking for his next meal. He had no time to sing.

Just then, Turtle saw Mr. Snake.

"Do you want to hear my turtle song, Mr. Snake?" said Turtle.

"Snakes do not sing. They slither and make s-s-s-s-s-sounds and rattle their tails. I do not wish to sing with you, Turtle." said Snake.

Turtle was sad. Would he ever find someone who wanted to listen to his turtle song?

The swamp he lived in now seemed like a lonely place.

Turtle popped into his shell. He didn't want to sing anymore.
