It was Monday morning, and James was preparing for school. Suddenly, his Mom puts in some pieces of paper. "Mom," he asked, "What are those for?" His Mom sighed. "Haven't I told you that earthquakes may occur?" she replied, "These are the instructions to survive from an earthquake". "Oh! I see," remarked James, "Thanks!"

James saw the bus arrived. He waved bye to his Mom. "Bye, Mom!" he said. "Bye, Son," replied mom. James got on the bus, and he was off to school.

As he arrived at school, he noticed that none of his classmates were there! 'They must have missed the bus,' James thought. Even his teacher was puzzled!

Finally, the teacher said angrily, "Well, Well. These kids really deserve a detention". "Me!" replied James "DETENTION!" "Not you James," remarked the teacher."Those students that were late!"

I will teach you about subject nouns.

James felt horrible. He knows that his friends never do anything bad. But now, they would get a detention, and there was nothing he could do.
"By the way," his teacher replied, "without waiting for them, I'm going to start teaching, James" "Yes, Ma,am" James replied. James sat down at his desk and opened his book. "You don't need your book, James," the teacher remarked. "Why?" asked James. "I will teach you subject nouns," replied the teacher.

A subject noun is a noun at the beginning of a sentence.

"A Subject noun is a noun that is at the beginning of a sentence," began the teacher.
"This lesson is easy," replied James.
"It is, James," replied the teacher. "The subject nouns come OFTEN after the article. And the articles are the adjectives.
