For this investigation, in groups, we had to decide which material would keep hot water, in a paper cup, hot for the longest.

There was a range of materials to choose from like tin foil, kitchen paper, dish cloth and felt.
My group decided to use tin foil, felt, kitchen paper and no material ( to act as a control). We made sure that each cup had the same amount of material wrapped around it so the test would be fair.

We used a white board to make a chart of the start temperature and the end temperature of each cup.

We then got the hot water and poured 100ml into each cup, so it would be fair, and took the start temperature of each cup and recorded in on a white board.

We then timed four minutes on a stopwatch. After the four minutes we checked the temperature again and recorded the results on the white board.
