Matthew 22 and Luke 14

Once there was a a great and kind and wise king who lived in a castle built on top of the highest mountain. From the balcony around his castle he can see every thing, every field, every ships, every plains and valleys and every movement of the people in the land. Nothing escapes his eyes. He had researchers sent all through out the land to study it to improve the agriculture, fisheries, oil, natural resources, volcanic reaction and preventing wildfires.

One day, the whole kingdom had experience a very bad drought and long dry season. No rain came. The streams, rivers and people's sources of water were drying up and the people were worried.
"Help us, oh wise king," cried the people, great and small. "Our crops and cattle and live stocks are dying and our families are starving."

So the king sent his architects to build them wells, and water pipes connected to the king's palace where there were always clean water for drinking and cooking and washing and fresh water to
water the king's hanging garden and
orchards and cattle and horses
and live stocks.
The king also build water reservoirs for the people to store water. The people were happy and glad and grateful to their king.
The people lived prosperous and abundant. Time goes by, they became rich and proud. They decided they don't want to depend on the king for anything anymore. They don't want the king to rule over them anymore. They moved far away from the castle and settled in valleys and plains near the rivers and sea, far from the king's mountain. They cut the trees in the forest and mountains to build houses and buildings and concrete roads and cities. They also build themselves water dams, entertainment houses, gambling houses. They make the strongest of them their leaders. They also began mistreating people that don't agree with what they're doing. The king was sad but let them do what they want.
One day, the king's meteorologists came to the palace to report to the king that they saw a big storm coming with strong winds and heavy rain. In 40 days, the oceans will rise with great waves that will wipe out the villages near the sea and the rivers will overflow and will wipe the villages near it.
"The dams that the people built will also overflow and break and will wipe out more villages," they said.
"The people must be warned," said the king.
"But where will they go, my king?" asked one of the meteorologist. "They already cut most of the trees in the forest mountains for logs and woods. Too much rain will soften the land that will cause soil erosion and landslides and mudslides that will wipe out the villages," said the other. "Only this mountain where your castle stand is safe and strong and high enough and far away from danger."
"Still they must be warned," the king said. So he gathered all his servants and messengers and sent them to warn all the people saying, "Go and tell them, there's a storm coming with strong winds and heavy rain. The seas will rise and the rivers and the dams will overflow and break. This whole village will be flooded and in 40 days, this whole village will become a wasteland. Tell them that the king opened his castle for every one until the storm has passed."
So the servants and messengers went and told the people what the king said. "In forty days, this place will become a wasteland! There's a storm coming with strong winds and heavy rain! There will be landslides, a great flood and great waves that will wash away this place. Evacuate now and come to the king's castle to be safe."

Only few people believed and started packing and evacuating. They were given assistance how to get to the king's mountain. Most people did not believe, especially the important leaders of their villages and cities. They looked at the sky and the sea and saw all thing is calm and peaceful. It has not rained for 9 months, and there's no sign of rain, nor wind. And so they ignored the king's warning and went back to what they're doing: storing for themselves riches and gold, and eating, drinking, buying, selling, and mocking the king and his servants.
Every day, the king's servants and messengers keep coming and warning and preaching about the coming storm, knocking on people's doors and getting slammed. Those who believed helped in warning the people. They've been to the king's mountain and see the palace and saw what things people in the plain and villages did not see. They believed the king and so they go down to the villages and cities, convincing the people to be saved from the coming storm and come to the castle. Only few believed. Some believed but they're delaying in going.
As the days go by the king was worried because the storm is getting stronger from afar. So he sent his Son thinking that maybe his people will believe him if he send his only son. The son went down, lived among the people, telling them how to be saved from the storm. But they hated the son and rejected him. The prince met a young lady in the village and fell in love. He wanted to marry her and bring her to the castle and save her from the coming super storm. So, he sent servants to tell his father the news. The king wanted to meet the girl. So, the son brought the girl to the castle.
The king liked the girl for his son. "So, when are you going to get married?" asked the king.
"As soon as possible, father," said the son. "I want to marry her before the super storm hit our kingdom. I want to invite all the leaders of the people of the land so they'll be here during the storm and they will be safe and protected by the strong walls and strong shield of our castle."
"That's a good idea, my son," said the king. "Two birds in one shot. They will be safe from the storm and they will be here at the wedding." So, the king gave his son a grand marriage and sent his servants to all the villages of his kingdom to invite the important people in the villages to his son's wedding, saying, "In three weeks, my son is getting married. I will have a great feast for my son and his bride. There will be lots of food and wine and music and dancing and entertainment. You are all invited to the castle to witness the grand wedding of my son. Please come and witness and celebrate with us."
So the king's servant went and give the invitation to the important leaders of the villages and cities. While every body and every servants in the castle are busy preparing for the coming wedding, for the food and for everything, the people in the villages are also busy doing their every day business and works.
And every day, there were messengers sent to the whole land to remind the people that were invited to the wedding.

Prepare for the wedding!
Prepare for the wedding!
Come to the wedding!
The day of the wedding came and the king sent his servants and messengers to call all the people that were invited to come. No one came.

Again, the king sent another servants saying, "Tell all that are invited that I have prepared a great feast with great food, and great meat with the best of the land. All things are ready. Come to the marriage."
The important people of the kingdom ignore the king's servants and his messengers. They gave excuses why they can't come. They all continue what they're doing. Some went to check on their farms, some to their stores, others to attend business meetings, others to their works and job sites. They said, "Before you were telling us about a big super storm coming that will wipe our villages and scaring the people, now you are changing tactics and telling us about this wedding celebration. Why can't you just leave us alone!"
The leaders were so proud and mean. They forgot how kind and gracious their king was and how he helped them when they asked for help. They chased the king's servants away. Some others arrested the servants and messengers, put them in jail, beat them and killed them. When the king heard what happened, and what they did, he was mad and he sent his armies and destroyed those who murdered his servants and messengers and burned their towns and villages.
