When an object move it begins to vibrate the air molecules

The vibrations are called sound waves.

Unlike light waves, sound waves can travel through liquids and solids!

Sound waves are the first step to hearing something

Hearing begins when our eardrum feels pressure from the vibrating air molecules.

This causes vibrations within the ear to turn into something called "nerve impulses".

When our brain receives the messages it makes sense of the vibrations and then we hear noise!

We have three different parts of our ear that all have different functions...
