This poem is dedicated to my niece who has cerebral palsy and all other children who have insecurities. Children often wonder why another child has certain physical features, such as long hair or colored eyes. They feel less pretty because they are different. This book reassures young girls that we are all the same, all beautiful, and all of the same importance. Beauty comes from within. Although everyone comes from different families, have different cultures, features, and abilities, we all have a beating heart. This is used to love one another while learning to love ourselves.
