What is immunity?
immunity is free of burden. Which means that a particular infection or toxin can't hurt you.

What are the two types of immunity?
The 2 types of immunity are passive and active. Passive immunity occurs when antibodies are passed from one person to another. Active immunity is when you are exposed, like getting sick or getting a vaccine

How does the body protect itself from antibodies? The immune system recognizes and destroys antigens.

What is the role of antigens? hormones? tumor necrosis factor? Antigens produce antibodies which help us. Hormones serve as messengers, controlling and coordinating through the body. TNF is in the regulation of immune cells.

What happens in the 3 lines of defense? The skin, and hair. The second line of defense is white blood cells known as Neutrophils. The third line of defense is specific defense mechanisms called "Y" proteins called antibodies.

When a harmless substance is encountered by a person who is allergic that substance, the immune system may react by producing antibodies that attack allergens

What happens when the immune system makes a mistake? It creates autoimmune disorders.

What are vaccines and herd immunity? Vaccines are shots that help you stay disease free from certain diseases. Herd immunity means not everyone in a community need to be immune to prevent spread of disease.
