Once Upon a time there was a sun named Sunny who loved all mother nature. She watches over all and would do anything to keep nature alive.

There was also a moon named Mooney who loved the darkness and hated the light. She wanted to get rid of the sun for all eternity, so all living things could never survive.

Sunny loves giving sunlight to plants ,like trees and flowers so they can go through the process in which solar energy is converted into chemical energy. In other words photosynthesis which occurs in the chloroplast of the plant cell.

In photosynthesis, plants let in carbon dioxide that humans give off and let out oxygen which the humans need breath in. Humans also depend on plants for food and sugar.

Sunny also makes sure that plants get as much water as they need sun.

As the sunny sets the plants hide in fear of the darkness of Mooney taking over. They pray every night hoping that the sun will rise again.

The night has been longer than usual. The plants were starting to get worried.

Hours have passed into the darkness and the plants are starting to disappear.
