During the process of writing this book, I've learned a lot about Jane Goodall. Her advocacy has been quite well known, but many don't know that she fights for things beyond animals. She does a lot of public speaking about climate change and the destruction of wild life. She travels all around the world to encourage people to follow their dreams. She wants everyone to know that anyone can do anything they set their minds to. I hope that young people will understand that anything is possible. Jane set her heart on something and now gets to spend the rest of her life doing it. I hope that children can use this to follow their dreams.

Where Did Jane Goodall Come From?
Dame Jane Goodall was born on April 3rd, 1934 in London, England. When she was a young child, she loved to go outside and observe the wildlife. Her dream was to one day go to Africa and write about the animals there. When she was 1, she was given a toy chimpanzee to celebrate the baby chimp that was born in the London Zoo, which started her love for chimps. When she was 5, she would run around the hen- house trying to figure out where eggs come from. She attended a private school and was an outgoing child. The private school helped her grow her knowledge on animals. She had many friends and was always known as being super social.

Her father was a motorcycle enthusiast so when she was young, her father joined the military for WW2 as an engineer. When he got back, her parents divorced. This divorce was hard on her like it would be to any child. At the age of 18, she dropped out of school and was too poor to afford University. She then was hired for a job as a secretary at Oxford. Jane’s friend invited her to come down to her family's farm in Kenya. Jane left her job and went back home to work as a waitress. When she earned enough money, she set off on a boat to Kenya.
What conflicts did she have when she was young?
After arriving in Kenya, Jane stayed with her friend for awhile. She learned about culture and the way that they lived. While there, she met a famous paleontologist Dr. Louis S B Leakey. They had frequent meetings and Jane impressed him with her knowledge on animals. After meeting for a few times, Leakey hired her as an assistant. After a few years working with Leakey and his wife, they started a research on chimps. At first, all of the chimps fled from Jane. After being there for a bit, the animals started trusting her and even formed relationships.
How did they get involved in their fight?
