In the Soviet times, teachers were the principal figures in the class, now, there is a different situation. Nowadays act with their teachers. In the 70’s, 80’s, when my parents studied at school, teachers were beating, shouting and were humiliating children very often, they were in a totalitarian relationship with their students.

. But now ,students and teachers respect each other. In those times , children didn’t have many rights, and if they had them, they were not respected. The progress in teacher-student relations is going in the right direction. The relationships are not perfect but everyone needs to want to get better.

During 1960's and 1970's teachers were the dominant factor of the schools. No one was able to oppose or deny what they say or what they did in the name of education and literacy simply because system actually supported it. Althoughthey seemed to have an assertive opportunism against the students they were under the surveillance of educative laws of the Republic which prevented harassing attitudes and corruption.
Those were the days when teachers asked the parents about their children failures and kept them responsible for that. Teachers used to show harsh punishments to those who weren't disciplined. Nowadays teachers are more gentle and they have lost their dominance over the school society. Now education system is more liberal and it actually supports teachers to show the attitude of gentleness and wants them to be guides of the next generation

In the past teachers had a different attitude and relation for students because we leaved in communism. Teachers in the past had the possibility to beat or to shout at children if they were mad or just for relieving stress. Now all things easier, now teachers can't shout or beat us, i am proud that i am living in a society where we are more open, and we are not judged for our mistakes, i believe in a better future and I think that we will never repeat the past...

Relationships between teachers and students in Ukraine have changed greatly during the period of Ukrainian independence. The relationships between people are always difficult. During its existence, humanity has answered a great many questions. But the question of how to reach mutual understanding (especially between adults and children) remains open as it requires constant work and effort from all participants in the educational process. The basis of teaching - studying is love. Love for the child is the essence of humanism and humanistic pedagogy. This love is characterized by unconditional and unconditional nature, which makes it possible to know the child's personality, evaluate their behavior, determine the methods of influencing them.
.To love a child unconditionally - means to love her regardless of appearance, learning abilities, defects, behavior, expectations of her in the future. It is important to express this love, belief in the perfection of the child, the formation of his or her moral beauty. Of course, the relationship between teacher and student requires change and improvement. The main thing is that students and teachers need to understand the need to move towards each other. How slow or fast this movement is depends on the educators.
