Laura used to live with her family. She had two brothers, Tobe and Tiger. Laura also had a mother and father, but they didn't like Laura or Tiger. They said Tiger was weak and Laura looked weird.

One day, a human in a wheelchair came. Laura took one look at the human and climbed on her lap. It was love at first sight.

Laura! No!

I'm sorry Tiger....

Laura loved her new home. Her human was named Pepper. Pepper lived with her grandpa. Grandpa didn't seem to like Laura very much though.

Five Years Later....

Everyone was very happy today. Laura was giving birth to kittens! One kitten was gray, and one was black. Pepper named the black one Midnight and the gray one Maxie.

Pepper decided she would keep Maxie, but they sold Midnight to a nice family. Laura missed Midnight, and she protected Maxie.

One day, grandpa said that he was taking Laura outside. Grandpa took Laura to the river. "Iv'e never liked you, cat." He hissed and threw Laura in the river! Then he walked away, leaving Laura to suffer.

Laura struggled, and finally got out of the river. She knew that if she didn't rescue him, Maxie would meet the same fate.
