Socks was having a nightmare. It was that awful house again. It was being ripped away from his mother and father. It was pain. The humans cat-napped him! He needed to escape, but he was too weak. He remembered his mother getting trapped and staying.

Socks woke up yowling. His father was standing over him. "Are you okay? You were yowling in your sleep." Socks nodded. "I'm fine." Socks and Tiger, his father, were The Feline Legacy. Sun had just left with Midnight, and Socks missed them. Tiger told Socks that they were traitors, but Socks still felt and empty hole in his heart. Sun was like family to him. He had been there from the start of the gang.

"I'm fine." Socks said. "Good." Tiger replied. "Because today we are going to move to a different home. We are going to join The Claws of Blood. It's another gang." Socks was shocked. "Why?" He asked. "Because we need more protection, and your mother lives in the house that they live in." Tiger said. "Now, let's go."

After hours of traveling, the cats finally got where they were going. They were greeted by a black cat. "Hello. My name is Fang. My old name was Swamp. I used to live with the special group of the forest, but I left. I started this group. I have heard of you. Welcome to the Claws of Blood. Mist is expecting you."The cat said and walked away. "Come." Tiger grunted and walked into the house.

The cats walked in the house. They saw..... Mist! Tiger's mate flung herself at Tiger. "Tiger! I missed you! I ran away from my humans..... they got a dog! Oh, and Socks! You look so big!" Mist said. Socks purred. "I missed you, too." He said. "I have turned my name to Mist from know on. Socks, since your name is related to humans, you might have to change it." She said. Socks nodded. He would do anything to stay with his mother.

Socks settled in quickly. He met the cats there.Like, Roscoe used to live in the city. He had broken legs, but was tough! One day, Fang called a meeting. "Socks, you will have to change your name." He said.

They went inside and did the ceremony. "Socks, your name is too human. I will have to change it. Cats from the sky and beyond, Socks name is now Slash. He will grow up to be an excellent member of The Claws of Blood." Socks nodded. He was Slash now! Slash was proud to have a proper cat name.
