This book is dedicated to all the young children in the world. It is very hard being a child these days. Stay true to yourself and just know that everything always works out. Always remember, no matter what you are going through, someone out there is going through something harder.

In a little town called Wadesville, Indiana, there is a bright little girl, Amelia. Amelia has two older siblings Gabi and Cole.

One morning, Amelia woke up to the beautiful sound of birds chirping and frolicking around outside of her window. It was the first days of school. Amelia felt this feeling in the pit of her stomach. She was feeling a bit scared and nervous at the same time.

The last school year started out great! She was enjoying all the new knowledge she was gaining. She would participate in class. She also became the teacher’s helper. It was fun until there was a new kid in the class, Evan Crankerstun.

Great job, Amelia!

Evan was the meanest kid she has ever met. He would call her names such as, teachers’ pet, and even make fun of her for being so smart.
Teacher's pet!!

Winner is:
Amelia!
After weeks of him making fun of her, she started to get down on herself. Her mother and father sat down with her several times to try to talk to her about Evan. They tried to tell her to ignore him. This continued for the rest of the school year.

Amelia met her family at the kitchen table for breakfast. Her mother could tell something was bothering her. She asked, “Is everything was okay, are you ready for the first day of school?”. Amelia said “No, I am worried about Evan”. Cole got very upset and said, “That is it, I am going to have a talk with Evan”.

Of course, like big brothers he has the feeling that he needs to protect his little sister. Their father said “Absolutely not. Cole, you need to stay out of this”. Her mother asked, “Amelia, have you ever thought to yourself why Evan is the way that he is?” “Because he is a bully!” shouted Amelia.

Absolutely Not!

Her mother began to explain to her that children are not born bullies. There may be something going on in his life that is bothering him. Amelia looked puzzled. “Amelia, how a child acts, depends on what they are going through. Why don’t you ask Evan why he is treating you this way? You have got to stand up for yourself. If you don’t, this will not stop.”
