One day, a little girl named Willow asked her mom for a puppy.

She wanted a perfect, fancy, white puppy.

"You may get a perfect, fancy, white puppy, but only if you take care of her!" Willow's mom said.

Willow began walking to a fancy store to buy her super fancy white puppy. She brought a lot of money, because the fancy puppy will cost a lot of money

She passes by an animal shelter. It wasn't the fancy store, but she decides to go in for just a second.

There were so many dogs. It smelled horrible, and it was so dirty. The dogs were very loud, and it was very crowded.

Willow sees a worker, and she asks "Why is it so dirty here? Some dogs look sick, and they are dirty."

"There are too many dogs for me to take care of. Nobody wants big dogs, everybody wants perfect, fancy, white puppies," she says.
