Nightstar walked out of camp with Leafpaw. "Remember, today is your warrior test. You can not mess this up." Nightstar said to Leafpaw. The apprentice nodded. "We are going to the meadow to meet Duskpaw and Spotpaw. You will take the test with them." Leafpaw nodded, agreeing with Nightstar. Nightstar padded into the meadow. Duskpaw, Spotpaw, and their mentors were already there. Nightstar explained the rules of the test to the apprentices and then the young cats headed into the forest. Nightstar followed Leafpaw and the other mentors stalked their apprentices, too. Soon, all apprentices headed back to the meadow. They each had three pieces of prey, like they were supposed to. Nightstar sniffed each apprentice and when he was

satisfied, looked at the mentors. "They all did well. I will call a warrior ceremony when we get back." He said. The apprentices squealed in excitement. The cats walked back to camp and Nightstar jumped onto the meeting tree. "Clan meeting!" He called. The clan gathered around the tree and looked at their leader. "Leafpaw, Duskpaw, and Spotpaw, step forward." He said. he looked at the mentors and asked if their apprentice was ready to be a warrior. Each mentor said yes. "Duskpaw, in honor of your sneakiness and agility, your warrior name shall be Duskripple. Spotpaw, in honor of your humor, friendliness, and skill, your warrior name shall be Spotdapple. And Leafpaw, in honor of your bravery and swiftness, your warrior name shall be Leafswipe." The clan

cheered the new warrior's names. Nightstar looked at his clan. "Clan dismissed." He said. Then he jumped off of the meeting tree carefully. After all, he had only seven lives left. He had lost two lives from a badger attack and getting caught in a blizzard. Nightstar walked over to the nursery. He looked at Rosekit and Honeykit. They were soon to be apprentices. He walked over to Bluewhisper, his mate. "Hello, Bluewhisper. How are you doing?" Bluewhisper purred. "Good. I know our second litter is coming soon!" Nightstar purred. Bluewhisper had been expecting kits for a while. She had started expecting when their first litter had their third moon of apprenticeship. Their first litter, Eaglepaw and Shadepaw, only had three more moons of being a apprentice. Bluewhisper nuzzled

Nightstar. "I can't wait to have more kits!" She said. Nightstar nodded. "Me too!" After talking and sharing tongues for a while, Nightstar left to see how the patrols were doing. He joined a border patrol and the cats started heading off. Lightwhisker, Lemonleap, and Walnutsight were with Nightstar. They went by Rockclan border. Suddenly, Lemonleap stopped. "Wait...." She said, sniffing the air. "I smell Rockclan cats.... on our territory!" Nightstar bristled. Rockclan? They wouldn't dare! He thought. The patrol tracked down the scent.... and caught a Rockclan kit and apprentice! A kit? Nightstar thought. He looked at the Rockclan cats. "Why are you on our territory?" Nightstar asked, hackles lifting. The kit's eyes widened, and so did the apprentice's.

"N-Nightstar!" Said the apprentice. "M-my name is W-Willowpaw, and this is A-Acornkit. W-we came to ask if we could join Dawnclan. Our mother, W-Whitetail is dead, and she had a mate from another clan, so we aren't treated well, so, we wanted to join D-Dawnclan." Acornkit nodded. "Me too." The little she-kit said. Nightstar thought for a moment. "Fine." He said. The cats headed back to camp. The clan bristled at the sight of the Rockclan cats. "What are they doing here!?" "Why is there a kit?" The clan asked. Nightstar jumped on top of the meeting tree. "Clan meeting!" He called. The clan gathered around the tree, and there were murmurs. "These are two cats from Rockclan. They are joining Dawnclan. Willowpaw, your new mentor will be Walnutsight.

And Acornkit, you will live with Blackbreeze. She will be your foster-mother. Oh, and how old are you, Acornkit?" Nightstar asked Acornkit. "A-almost six moons." The kit said. "Perfect. You are about as old as Blackbreeze's kits. And, if I hear about you two going back into Rockclan territory or bothering other cats, you will be asked to leave." The young cats nodded. "Good. Clan dismissed." Nightstar said and bounded down the tree. He walked over to the elder's den. Littlefang and Fruitpelt were there. Fruitpelt's eye had never gotten better, so she was moved to the elder's den. Nightstar went over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a plump rabbit. He went over to the Elder's den and dropped the rabbit there. The elders nodded to Nightstar and started eating. Nightstar then went

to the nursery. He heard yowling. Nightstar's fur bristled. Is Acornkit causing trouble? He thought, but then Nightstar looked in the nursery and saw Herbleaf. Herbleaf and Pondfur were in the nursery. Bluewhisper is kitting! Nightstar looked at Bluewhisper. She had a stick in her mouth.....or at least looked like it used to be a stick. It was splintered, and she had a kit next to her! But she wasn't done. After a while of yowling and screeching, Bluewhisper was done. She had three kits next to her. Nightstar purred. He nuzzled Bluewhisper. The kits were beautiful. There was a orange kit with green eyes, a black kit with blue eyes, and a silver kit with sky-blue eyes. Nightstar was happy. "What should we name them?" Nightstar asked. "How about Skykit for the silver kit?"

Bluewhisper said. Nightstar nodded. "And Firekit for the orange one." Bluewhisper purred. "And Shadowkit for the black one!" After the naming of the kits, Nightstar walked toward the exit to hunt. But, he saw Willowpaw sneaking off with Shadepaw! Willowpaw was growling at Shadepaw and nipping her legs! Nightstar was outraged. He followed the cats to.... the Rockclan border?! There a Rockclan patrol was waiting for them. Willowpaw passed the border. The cats were keeping Shadepaw prisoner! Nightstar ran back to camp. "Warriors! Quick!" He yowled. A group of warriors came over to Nightstar. Nightstar explained what happened and the patrol headed off. They sneaked into Rockclan. They found Rockclan camp. There was a warrior ceremony going on.
