The Statue of Zeus in Greece was the most famous statue of ancient world. The Greeks dedicated it to the king of Greek Gods. The ivory statue was 12 metres high.

The Pyramids of Giza

The Giza Pyramids , build to endure an eternity. Egyptians built them as tomb for their kings. The largest of the three , the Great Pyramid, stands about 137 meters high.

The lighthouse of alexandria

The Lighthouse of Alexandria over 22 metress high stood on the island of Pharos. A fire was burning continuously to guide ships into the harbour of Alexandria.

The Colossus of Rhodes was an immense bronze statue. The statue honoured the Greek god of the Sun , Helios. One of the seven wonders of ancient world, it was constructed to celebrate Rhodes victory over the ruler of Cyprus.

The Tomb of Mausolus

The Tomb of Mausolus was located in what is now Turkey.

It was a huge white marble tomb for king Mausolus. Its size and gold decorations made it so famous that large tombs are caled '' mausoleums '' even today.

With two days available to visit the wonders of the ancient world, I chose only 5 of them that impressed me the most. These wonders have remained as a trace of our ancestors to promote history. These attracted my attention due to their age and hardness, but with bad judgment in our days only the pyramids or kept and we would have to value them because it is the only memory of the people of the past.
