Once upon a time, there lived a black cat named Tofu, who was an outdoor cat.

Tofu loved going outside, but his owner didn't want Tofu to go outside for a specific reason...

Tofu's owner was a girl named Polly, and she didn't like Tofu going outside because she thought he was going to get hurt.

One day, Tofu was clawing at the door because he wanted to go outside. Polly saw this, and reluctantly, she opened the door for Tofu. I probably should not let him go outside, thought Polly. Then, she thought: Nah, he'll be fine! And she shut the door after Tofu left.

Tofu had so much fun out in the wilderness! He met friends, more than he had had at Polly's house. He met a mantis named Dan, a butterfly named Butter, a bee named Bea, and he met another cat named Suzie, who was Tofu's favorite friend out of all the friends he had met that day.

Tofu continued his adventure, and Suzie volunteered to accompany Tofu on his journey. Of course, Tofu said yes. Then they arrived at a park. Tofu taught Suzie how to climb a tree. At first, Suzie was scared, but then she climbed even higher than Tofu, the master at climbing. "Wow, your a natural at climbing!" Exclaimed Suzie. 

Finally, Tofu and Suzie got to a busy road packed with cars.
