Digital Storytelling Night at Lawrence Elementary School

When I was 5 years old, my grandmother came to the United States from El Salvador for the first time. We went to a small shop and she asked me what the word on this rock meant since she did not know how to speak English. After I told her what it meant in English, she taught me how to say it in Spanish. The word for courage in Spanish is "valor."
