Caroline could hear the children shouting from inside the classroom.

her thoughts.

"I saw some children play basketball outside today. I wish I could play with them," Caroline sighed when her mother asked about her day.

"You know, there is something called wheelchair basketball. I will show you when we get home," said Caroline´ s dad.

"Wow! If they can do it, I can do it as well!" she shouted hopefully.

"There is no difference between

standard and wheelchair basketball! Even in their speed!"

"Look what we got you, sweetie!"

Some weeks pass..

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Caroline!"

The next day...

"Now I CAN play basketball!"

I wish I could be in the school play...

"Oh look Carrie, the school play sign-up sheet!"

"Wow, Snow

White! I wish

I could play her,"

answered Caroline.

"So sign up!"

"Sigh! I will not get picked, have you ever seen a princess in a wheelchair?"

"Okay, time to head back to Mrs. Lee."

Briiiing!

During lunch, Caroline was helping Liam practice his lines.

"Prince you saved me!"

"Will you marry me, Snow White?"

They did not notice Mrs. Lee, standing in the corner, listening quietly.

The next day, auditions were held in the auditorium. Children were walking on and off the stage, reading lines. Then it was Liams turn.

"The princess needs my help!"

"Will you marry me, Snow White?"

"Does anyone else want to audition?" the play

director asked.

Mrs. Lee turned to Caroline. "You should go up there! I saw you practicing, you can do it!"

Caroline rolled up to the stage, nervous. She remembered the lines she practiced with Liam.

"What happened, where am I?"

"The witch!"

"Prince, you saved me!"

When she was done...

"Caroline!"

Caroline cheered with Liam.

"I CAN be a princess in a wheelchair!

I CAN be in the school play!"

I wish I could be a doctor...

"I am excited to see

Dr. Silburg!"

"Glad to hear that, sweetie!"

"Caroline Balling" the doctor called out.

He lifted her out of the wheelchair and put her on the examination table.

"How are you feeling today, Caroline?"

"I am fine, thank you!"
