Once upon a time not so long ago, three little eggs sat warming under the hot sun next to tall reeds along a warm, breezy beach.

Suddenly the eggs began to sway and rock. There was crunch. The first little sea turtle popped out from the warm egg.

Then there was a crickety crack and the second little sea turtle poked his head out of his shell.

Finally, there was slight snapping sound. Slowly and shyly, the third little sea turtle peaked his head up from his shell. Only to pull it back in again.

The sun was starting to set but it was still hot like sizzling bacon outside. As the turtles emerged, they could feel the salty breeze across their bodies.
The three sea turtles knew they had to cross the beach to get to the ocean so they could begin their migration to their feeding grounds.

He got about halfway across the sand when a white seagull with black beady eyes swooped down.
The first baby sea turtle, who happened to be the littlest of the three sea turtles, started to make the trek to the ocean. He took one cautious step with his flippers and then another and another. Flip Flop Flip Flop.
The seagull squawked, “Who’s that crossing my beach?”
The first baby sea turtle shivered and mumbled, “It is I, Little Baby Sea Turtle.”

The seagull came closer. “I am going to eat you!” screeched the seagull.
“No, don't eat me!” squeaked the Little Baby Sea Turtle. “My brother will be coming soon. He is bigger than me.”

The seagull thought to himself for a moment as he stared at the baby sea turtle.
“You are too small for a snack.” said the seagull. “You may continue on your way to the ocean.”
The Little Baby Sea Turtle ran as fast as he could to the warm salty ocean.
