Log into Zoom. Start your meeting as the host by clicking Meetings. Then, under Upcoming, select the meeting you want to start and click the blue Start button. Click the Record button on the right-hand side of the Zoom toolbar.
What is Zoom and how does it work?
In many respects Zoom does nothing new. It's a cloud-based video conferencing tool where you can host calls with others. Users can open chat rooms and can have up to 500 attendees all sharing the feed from their webcams, thus giving the illusion of a typical meeting.
How do you set up Zoom?
Open your Zoom app on your desktop and click Sign In. Log in using the E-mail and password that you have created, or with Google(Gmail), Facebook, or Login with SSO. Click the downward arrow and select Start with video, then click New Meeting to start an instant meeting.
Is zoom better than Skype?
Skype for Business has many of the same features as Zoom, however, Skype for Business excels as an office communications solution. Skype for Business allows the user to connect easily and quickly with co-workers using instant messaging, screen and document sharing, and informal audio/video calls.
Does Zoom show your face?
Start or join a Zoom meeting. The meeting automatically begins in Speaker View and you can see your own video. Right-click your video to display the menu, then choose Hide Myself. You no longer see the video of yourself, even though others in the meeting can see the video of you.
Is Zoom for free?
Zoom offers a full-featured Basic Plan for free with unlimited meetings. Try Zoom for as long as you like - there is no trial period. Your Basic plan has a 40 minutes time limit on meetings with three or more total participants.
