
Little problem, little reaction!

Problems come in all different sizes! I have to think about my problem before I react. The size of my reaction should match the size of my problem!!


1 is a tiny problem. Sometimes tiny problems are really no problem at all! 5 is an emergency! You might need to call the fire department or the police.


Hmmm, what size is my problem?

If my problem is a 1 or a 2, that is LITTLE. My reaction should be little. Not like Glassman, DOF, or Grump Grumpaniny. No Way!! More like Cool Q Cumber. A 1 or 2 problem might be if I drop a pencil, I rip my paper, or I don't get to do my favorite job. That is NO BIG DEAL!

No big deal. I can figure this out.

1, 2 problem



I might have a yellow, medium problem. Medium is NOT an emergency, so I don't let Glassman take over my thinking and my reaction. NO WAY!! A medium problem might be that I am sick, or don't understand my school work. I might be stressed or really worried about something. I might be in an argument. My superflex strategy? Stay cool like Cool Q Cumber. Ask for help!. EASY!



I need help.


I might have a GIGANTIC problem!! I might be lost from my parents, somebody might be bullying me, maybe hitting me! Some stranger might be trying to get me into their car! A gigantic problem is SCARY! What is my superflex strategy? GET HELP RIGHT AWAY! Find an adult! Run away from a stranger. You might feel like acting like Glassman... that's ok for now. Glassman makes you have big reactions. A gigantic problem gets a gigantic reaction!

An EMERGENCY is the biggest problem! I might have a broken bone. There might be a building on fire or a tornado might have destroyed my house. My Superflex strategy is CALL 911! But, I cannot act like Glassman! NO WAY! I really have to be Cool Q Cumber when I talk to the police and fire department so they can find me and help!
