To a friend at school, for wanting to know what happened next!

“It should be any minute now,” Noah said. “It was 5:55 when we came yesterday.” “I really don’t want to faint!” Bobby squealed. “You’ll be fine, but keep your voice down.” Tony scolded. A black shadow crept across the courtyard of the abandoned castle. Their eyes all widened as they looked at the figure. He was wearing silver with a black horse. He went past so fast they couldn’t tell anything else. “What was that?” Bobby asked. “I don’t know, ” Tony supplied. “But I want to go back home!”
As the three friends ran down the hill, Noah tripped on a thick patch of grass. “Woah!” he screamed as he fell onto the ground. He stood up. The patch spelled out, “Beware.” He called Tony and Bobby over and had them look at it. “Yeah, let's go home.” Bobby whispered. Then they ran.
When they got inside Noah’s house they locked shut the door and walked upstairs. Tony opened Noah’s bedroom door and they walked in. Then Bobby said, “Um, I think we should write down what happened, you know, in case this gives us amnesia. Like it sort of did to Noah.” “I bet you fifteen dollars we won’t, but we might as well,” Noah said. “Ten.” Bobby argued. Noah replied, “Sure. I’ll also write down what happened to me before.” Their note ended up like this:
- Fainted
- Castle pops up everywhere
- Lights go out
- Heard metal on metal
- Horse head shape
- Phone number: 472-273-3908
- Wearing silver
- Riding black horse
- “Beware” on grass
Right when Noah finished, the house shook and Noah’s soccer trophy which had said,“Noah Clushauog-Midfielder” now was shattered and spelled out “Noah- u should fear” with other letters to the side. Bobby was so scared that he jumped and hit his head on the ceiling. Tony caught him and threw him onto the bed. Noah was still staring at his trophy pieces. “Ow“ Bobby mumbled. Tony exclaimed “Look Bobby has a bump on his head!” Noah turned around and saw that Tony was right! “Get me ice..“ Bobby mumbled. Noah ran down the stairs and grabbed an ice packet. He rushed back up and gave it to Bobby. “We should probably write this all down too.” Tony said. They did and after, they watched a movie. Then Bobby and Tony had to go to their house.
As Noah walked into the library where he would do research, he tripped and fell. “Are you okay?” an old man asked as he helped him to his feet. “Yes, and thank you. I’m Noah. What’s your name?” “I’m Johnny Von Schnitzel, but you can call me John. Why were you going to the library?” Noah replied, “I was going to try to break a sort of code or mystery.” “Well, I was a detective back in the day. Maybe I could help you.”
“Really,” Noah replied. “That would be great!” Then they walked into the library. They found multiple books and then sat at a table. Then John asked, “So, what are you looking for?” Noah responded with, “Well, -” Then he was interrupted. “May I- help you?” Came a voice from behind a bookshelf.
